Before starting your therapy sessions, it is crucial to understand that therapy can help improve and enhance your life, bringing back a sense of peace. One significant benefit of psychotherapy is that it helps individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves, leading to the creation of a more authentic and fulfilling life. Therapy achieves this by uncovering and exploring limiting beliefs, taking action to break old patterns, and ultimately reducing distress while improving overall quality of life and satisfaction.
It's important to note that you don't have to wait for a crisis or be in a state of suffering to seek therapy. Therapy can be beneficial even when things are going well or during times of significant life transitions. When faced with challenging situations, therapy can provide valuable support in processing emotions, understanding past experiences, and finding the best way to move forward. Remember, you deserve help and support regardless of the circumstances.
Therapy can assist with various common but difficult aspects of life, including personal growth, managing anxiety or depression, feeling overwhelmed, navigating relationship issues, coping with major life changes, dealing with crises, learning to handle aggressive or toxic individuals, managing anger issues, improving concentration, working through family dynamics, overcoming substance abuse or addiction, and addressing concerns like eating disorders or thoughts of self-harm or suicide.
Online Counselling
Our counseling services aim to help individuals experiencing significant emotional distress that hinders their physical well-being, personal relationships, or productivity. The goal is to alleviate distress and enhance the quality of life. Initially, we conduct an evaluation of your needs over a few sessions. Based on this evaluation, your mental health practitioner will collaborate with you to create a treatment plan or therapy goals. The evaluation process may involve formal assessments to gather detailed information about your counseling requirements and goals. If we decide to proceed with counseling, we usually schedule one session per week, although sessions may vary in length or frequency. Please note that our counseling sessions will be conducted through audio or video-based e-Counseling, and messaging apps, chats, and emails are not available on this platform.
Range of Our Services
It's important to understand that certain concerns, such as severe thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or extreme mood swings in bipolar disorder, may not be suitable for online counseling. In such cases, our counselor will discuss the matter with you and provide a referral to another professional who can conduct face-to-face sessions. The advice given by the counselor is based solely on the information you provide. Additionally, if legal proceedings are involved, such as divorce, custody disputes, or lawsuits, we cannot be called to testify in court or disclose psychotherapy records. We also have the option to consult with a select psychiatrist if needed.
In Case of Emergencies
During emergencies or crises, audio/video/computer-based counseling services may not be appropriate. If you find yourself in such a situation, we urge you to seek immediate help from any helpline. The helpline counselors are available to assist you in identifying other helplines, hospitals, or healthcare facilities in your area. We cannot serve as your emergency contact, so it is essential for you to have an emergency contact identified prior to starting our services.
